Whole School Meals is dedicated to providing quality, fresh and seasonal food supported by a carefully selected network of suppliers across Kent who provide responsibly-sourced ingredients.

Our term time contracts are a great way to combine work with family commitments.

Kitchen Assistant (servery) Elham Primary and Selsted Primary School

The successful candidate(s) must be a good team member and able to work on their own when required.

Duties include: Setting up the dining room for service and clearing down afterwards, recording food temperatures, serving meals and washing up where required.

Ideally the successful candidate will hold a Food Hygiene certificate, however training towards this will be given.

Hours of work are 11:30-1:30, Monday-Friday, term time only + 5 additional cleaning days.

Kitchen Assistant, Hythe Bay Primary School, Folkestone

The successful candidate(s) must be a good team player, confident, self-motivated and hard working. You will be a key player in our small team.

Duties include assisting with food preparation, washing up, setting up the dining hall for service, serving meals, cleaning of kitchen equipment, working with the team to run an efficient service and carry out any other duties that may be requested by the Cook.

Previous experience of working in a similar environment is desirable, but not essential. Ideally the successful candidate will hold a Food Hygiene certificate, however training towards this will be given.

This is a permanent position, Monday-Friday, 18 hours per week, term time only + 5 additional cleaning days.

Mobile Kitchen Assistant – Deal/Sandwich Area

The successful candidate must be a good team player, confident, self-motivated and hard working with access to your own transport (mileage paid).

You will be a key player in our small mobile team, travelling to our school kitchens in Deal and the surrounding areas, covering sickness and busy kitchen days where needed.

Duties include assisting with food preparation, washing up, serving meals, cleaning of kitchen equipment, setting up the dining hall and clearing down, working with the team to run an efficient service and any other duties that may be requested by the cook.

Hours of work are 10:30-1:30, Monday-Friday, term time only.

Team Leader Cook at Saltwood Primary School

The successful candidate must be a team leader, confident, self-motivated and hard working.

You will lead a small team of Kitchen Assistants, Prepare and Cook meals daily, maintain kitchen records, order food and serve the staff and children their meals. clearing down and washing up afterwards.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential. Ideally the successful candidate will hold a current Food Hygiene and Allergy Awareness certificate, however training towards this will be given.

Hours: 8am-2pm, Monday – Friday, Term time only + 5 Cleaning days

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent + Pension
